BYD Shark vs Ranger Hybrid Plug-in
Ford's plug-in hybrid Ranger is pathetic. Asking over eighty-thousand dollars in Australia, for this mediocre hybrid is simply ridiculous. Not only is it going to be around twenty-thousand dollars more expensive than BYD's Shark, but it is nowhere close in terms of capability either. The Shark has more than twice EV range as compared to the Ranger. In addition to that, the Shark is also way more powerful and accelerates much quicker than the Ranger. The shark is also slightly bigger in size and has better packaging, leading to more spacious cabin as well as a bigger loading bay. The only redeeming feature of the Ranger, is its higher towing capacity, which BYD is already working on matching, and should hit the market by mid of twenty-twenty-five. On the other hand, Ford isn't going to be able to match any of the Shark's capabilities within next five years for sure.
