BYD Seal vs Dolphin Review
If you are thinking of buying the cheapest model of the BYD Seal, hold on for a minute. The top-end Dolphin is much better option than the base-seal. Both cars have a similar sized battery, giving them a mighty impressive, real world range of three-fifty miles. But the Dolphin is clearly better value-for-money than the Seal. Firstly, because the range-topping Dolphin is more than eleven thousand dollars cheaper than the low-end Seal in Australia. Secondly, the high-end Dolphin accelerates a bit quicker than the base-Seal in spite of lower horsepower, because it's weight is lighter than the Seal, giving it a better power-to-weight ratio. Not to forget, the Dolphin is two-feet shorter in length than the Seal, making it more maneuverable and its wheelbase is also shorter than the Seal, with better ground clearance, making it less susceptible to grounding over speed-humps. The seal does have some advantages though, especially in terms of a faster charging speed and a more spacious boot.
